We have both the:

• F1 (1/2 Labrador Retriever and 1/2 Mini Poodle)

• F1B (1/4 Labrador Retriever and 3/4 Mini Poodle)

Mini Labradoodles are known for their intelligence, calm temperament, affection, and elegant gait. The Labradoodle is a fantastic home dog.

 

They have a super affectionate personality and love to be in the center of the action. They are incredibly smart and enjoy playing but are often not pushy. Their keenness and intuition allows them to judge when it is play time and when it cuddle time.

Early socialization is #1 in creating successful Labradoodle behavior. It is important that these dogs are introduced to the world, other people, and canines early on.

We choose to socialize our puppies by playing with them throughout the day, going to a Assisted Living facility, and occasionally to daycares and schools. Mini Labradoodles are generally a great choice for a first-time dog owner, a family, a service dog, a school program dog, or a guide dog.

 

At Puppies Up North, we began holding, loving, cuddling, and socializing our puppies from day one. Training a Labradoodle is an easier task than most dogs. Their eager-to-please personalities and intelligence make them both attentive and happy in learning. Their overt friendliness, intuition, and slight sensitivity mean they respond best to positive reinforcement.

Praise for good Labradoodle behavior in the form of treats, words, and playfulness work best when training a them. Don’t limit the training process but instead reach above and beyond. This means teaching tricks and games.

We have steps, ramps, and lots and lots of different type toys for learning or cuddle with. Crate training is exceptionally successful with this breed.

Mini Labradoodles are natural swimmers; put them in water and watch them shine with glee.
